FFA and FCCLA Sponsor Local Blood Drive
The Brokaw FFA Chapter and the Clarinda High School FCCLA group co-sponsored a blood drive at Clarinda High School on Wednesday, September 11. FFA and FCCLA members were in charge of obtaining donors for the blood drive, as well as performing many duties during the blood drive such as manning the registration table, providing assistance to students and community members giving blood, providing refreshments for donors, and helping with setting up and taking down of the tables, chairs, and other equipment used. The blood drive proved to be successful, as 96 units of blood were donated throughout the day, surpassing the goal of 88. This is the fourth year in a row that we have had at least 88 units of blood donated for this particular blood drive. The FFA chapter and FCCLA group thank the many CHS students and community members for their donations at this fall’s bloodmobile!
